aTCA 3100 Series

Introduction

The aTCA-3100 series are the 24/48-port AdvancedTCA base/fabric layer 3 switch blades, based on Vitesse® VSC7310 switch silicon and Intel® 80219 600MHz XScale® I/O processor. The aTCA-3100, base switch blade, features 24-port 10/100/1000BASET links, including 12 node slots, 8 front panel egress RJ45 ports, 2 ShMC ports, 1 inter-switch port and 1 control plane CPU access port. In addition to all the aTCA-3100 features, the fabric switch blade, aTCA-3110 features 24-port 1000BASE-BX links, including 14 PIGMG 3.1 option 1 compliant node slots, 2 front panel egress ports and 8 reserved ports from Rear Transition Module I/O. The aTCA-3120, fabric switch blade with 10GbE uplink support, features an additional 10Gigabit Ethernet XFP uplink port above the aTCA-3110 feature set.
